VSAR is one of a number of essential services operating in the County. It co-operates with several other organizations wihtin Kings County and throughout Nova Scotia. These include:

• Nova Scotia Ground Search and Rescue Association (NSGSARA)
  There are 23 teams in the province.

• Kings County Emergencies Master Plan & the Emergency Centre

• VSAR is represented in the Kings County Emergency Measures Organization

• NSGSARA Mutual Aid: Multi-team search

• Berwick, New Minas and Wolfville RCMP and the Kentville Police

• Nova Scotia Emergency Measures Organization

• Rescue Control Centre in Halifax through NSGSARA
