    VSAR Searches - 1990

    We participated in five searches during the year and provided over 400 person hours of searching.

    Search one was for a missing female visitor to the area of Morden. She did not speak english. She was found alive after 8.5 hours of searching. We had 20 searchers and five volunteers.

    Search two was for a missing male hunter at Gold Lake/Dead Brook area. We responded with 10 searchers for two hours. The missing person was found alive and well.

    Search three was for two missing hunters on the Oak Lake fire road, Kings Co. We searched for 63 person hours and found the hunters alive. They had stayed in the woods due to darkness and had a fire going when found.

    Search four was for a missing hunter at Blue Mountain, Kings Co. We searched for 390 person hours. He walked out at daybreak.

    Our last search of the year was for a missing hiker south of New Minas, Kings Co. We answered the search call with 10 searchers and were on the scene for 3 hours. He walked out on his own.
